DHL opens S$160m logistics centre

(Source: The Business Times, 20 April 2016) Logistics company DHL has opened a S$160 million, purpose-built multi-user facility in Tampines LogisPark. The 90,000 square metre Advanced Regional Center (ARC) houses its first innovation centre outside Germany, along with DHL Supply Chain’s Singapore country office, its Asia-Pacific regional office and regional call centre. Sitting on the biggest parcel of land in Tampines LogisPark, the ARC features a S$18.8 million multi-customer automation system with advanced robotics. Altogether, it has 130 robotic shuttles that pick and store products from 72,000 locations spread across 26 levels.
